Expert casting instruction
Rod Fishers’ has an active casting program organised by Andrew McKenzie, assisted by Chris Blyth. Andrew and Chris are both Certified Casting Instructors (CCI) through Fly Fishers International (FFI).

Fly Fishers International is an international non-profit organisation dedicated to the betterment of the sport of fly-fishing. Its mission is active stewardship focussed on conservation, education and community. Consider joining the FFI:

Casting in the Park (CITP) – Sunday Weekend Sessions
Casting in the Park (CITP) was established in 2014 by Rodfishers’ life member and Certified Casting Instructor (CCI) Andrew McKenzie and is held most Sundays, mid-afternoon at Karuah Park, off Eastern Road, Turramurra.

Andrew, along with Chris Blyth, also a CCI, welcome members and their guests to attend. Fly casting instruction for the beginner to more advanced is offered. CITP is supported by Rodfishers and anyone looking to join the Society is encouraged to attend and learn in a very welcoming environment.

Many members from beginner to intermediate have benefited from advice provided at these sessions. One-on-one sessions can be organised if desired.

Peter Morse Casting Weekends
Each year fly-fishing and casting legend Peter Morse MCI presents at the club’s very popular casting sessions which are held over a weekend in August.

Peter is an honorary club member and one of the world’s great fly-fishermen and fly-casting teachers.

Guest Sessions
From time to time the club is able to present additional casting sessions with world class instructors.
