Events

The club holds regular events throughout the year that are both fishing and socially based. The social events also provide a great learning environment excellent opportunities to develop friendships. Refer to the calendar below to see what is planned for this year.

Events held by the club include:

  • Monthly lunches at the University Union  Schools Club, 25 Bent St Sydney, commonly with well-known guest speakers from the fly fishing world
  • A members’ summer lunch in January on the NSW central coast or Newcastle
  • An annual Oberon landholders’ dinner usually held in March each year in Oberon
  • An annual fly tying and auction night held at Chatswood
  • Occasional evening presentations by fly fishing  outfitters and industry figures
  • Reserved seating at the annual Rise Fly Fishing film festival and other film nights
  • Casting days with IFF qualified casting instructors
  • Salt water and freshwater fishing trips to local and international locations
